ADHD

You may have noticed ADHD is being talked about more than ever! In 2024 more healthcare professionals are aware of the fact that we all have different brains and that being neurodivergent can present challenges and benefits. We know that ADHD can affect people across their lifespan and we are keeping up with new and exciting research. We also understand how ADHD can present differently in women and girls; often hyperactivity may be internal with constant racing thoughts.

Undiagnosed ADHD can lead to anxiety, depression, trouble functioning at work/school and struggles in personal relationships. Getting a diagnosis and a treatment plan can be very helpful.

TBNC has a valid and reliable ADHD assessment tool that, while not a thorough diagnosis, can give an idea of the severity of ADHD symptoms and help you decide your next steps. In addition to medication, counselling and skill development can be beneficial in managing everyday challenges associated with ADHD.
